Can I try an item on?
Yes! We offer try-ons by appointment in our showroom in Monkstown, Co. Dublin. While there, you will be able to browse our showroom collection. To avail of this try-on service, simply book a 30 minute shopping/try-on appointment through the link on our website. On booking, you will be able to select the items you wish to try on on that date. If any of those items then get booked in the meantime, we will notify you ASAP, in case you wish to change the date of your appointment to a time where that item will be available again.
How do I place an order?
To rent an item, simply follow the below steps:
- Browse our products
- Check the availability of the product you’re interested in through the calendar associated with that item
- Add your product to your cart
- Choose to collect your item in store or have it delivered to your door by DPD!
How long can I rent an item for?
We offer 4, 8 and 12 day rental periods. However, if for any reason you need an item for a longer period, send us a message and we can try our best to sort something out for you!
How does the damage cover/insurance work?
For €15, you can have peace of mind when wearing your rented look by adding our 'Damage Cover' at checkout.
You will be covered for all repairable damage (missing button, missing beads, stain removal) up to a maximum repair cost of €100 per rental.
Please note that Damage Cover does not protect you from the following:
- Theft or loss of an item beyond €100
- Damage of items beyond repair above €100
- Damages in excess of a €100 repair fee
If you do damage your item, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please note: If you have received your rental as a PR loan / complimentary rental, you will be responsible for the cost of any damage incurred whilst the items are in your possession
Do you offer next day delivery?
Yes, of course! We know everyone can be very last minute, and we hope that our next day delivery option will encourage you guys to choose renting for your last minute bits instead of rushing to the likes of ASOS! Just make sure you get your order in before 10am the day before your event in order to avail of next day delivery.
Do I need to clean my items before sending them back?
Under no circumstances should you attempt to clean your item during the duration of your rental. Doing so may result in a damage charge on returning your item. Our specialised cleaners will take care of any stains - please just notify us if you know the source of a stain. This helps our care experts in prolonging the life of an item and minimises any damage costs!
Can I cancel my rental?
If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know straight away. We are able to cancel any orders up to 3 days before your rental start date and issue you a credit note. Orders cancelled any later than 72 hours before your rental start date will not be entitled to a credit note and will be charged in full.
How does the appointment charge work?
When booking your try-on appointment, you will be charged a fee of €10. This €10 is refundable if you cancel your appointment more than 24 hours in advance of your appointment start time. If you cancel within the 24 hour time frame, your appointment fee will not be refunded. If you make a booking in person at the time of your appointment, the €10 charge is fully redeemable against your rental. If you don't find something that suits at the time of your appointment, we unfortunately cannot refund the appointment fee.
What happens if I'm not at home when my item is due to be delivered?
Don't worry! On the morning of delivery, you will receive a text from DPD with a 1 hour time slot. There will also be the option to 'collect from your local DPD pickup store' or 'leave in a safe place'.
Please note: any items left in a safe place are left at your own risk.
How does in store collection work?
If you choose the option of collecting your item from our showroom in Monkstown, your item will be available for collection on the start date of your rental period. Choosing this option means that the item must be returned to the store on the last day of your rental - simply pop it through the door flap at our showroom at any time on the last day of your rental period!
How do returns work?
If you've selected DPD shipping, check your inbox when you receive your item, we'll have sent you a prepaid returns label! Simply place your DROBEY items in their original shipping box, pop the returns label on and drop it off at your nearest DPD Drop Point before 12 noon on or before the day you are due to return your item. If you can't find your pre-paid returns label then please contact us and we will happily arrange a new label to be sent out to you. If you're returning directly to the Showroom, just pop your item back through our returns hatch on the door of the showroom before 8pm on the last day of your rental.
What if my item doesn’t fit?
If in doubt about the fit of an item, we suggest you pop in to our showroom to try your item on by booking an appointment with us. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue you a refund or credit note if your item does not fit, as it won't be able to be rented out to another customer for your dates now.
What if I damage or lose my rental item?
As a member of our rental community, we hope that you'll love Drobey's stock as much as we do and treat the items as your own. But, we understand that accidents can happen so we've created our damage protection add-on, which covers you for any amount of damage up to €100. If your item gets damaged, please reach out to us immediately via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending us a DM on instagram.
We reserve the right to pursue up to the full RRP of the item in the rare case where the item is no longer rentable or not returned to us.
Can I keep my items' packaging?
Unfortunately, the suiter bags your item comes in when you collect it from our showroom will have to be returned. We're all about sustainability at DROBEY so wont be using any disposable packaging at our showroom - the items and their packaging will hopefully live a long life side by side!
My rental period ends on a sunday or bank holiday, how do i post it back to you?
If your rental period ends on a Sunday, simply pop it back into your local DPD drop off point on the sunday as normal. If your rental period ends on a bank holiday and your local DPD drop off point is closed, please post it first thing the next morning.
What if I'm late returning my item?
If an item is returned later than the day specified on the order, we reserve the right to charge €30 per day if the item/s is late back to us via your credit card on file.
